Going green is something that we all want to do to help save the planet, but often it seems that things you need to do are very expensive or complicated and many of us feel overwhelmed and simply don't know where to start. Fortunately, there are some simple and easy you can do today to help reduce your carbon footprint and some of them will even help you save some money too.

There's nothing green on green plastic bags that will still be around to our great grand-children are here.
Speaking of plastics, plastic water bottles are bad for the environment and also your health. Invest in some drinking mugs to carry the water instead of buying water in plastic bottles in stainless steel. You'll be helping to reduce the plastic in our landfills as save your body of harmful toxins that can leach into the water you are drinking.
Your home heating is another area where you can help the environment and save money with their efforts. Have your oven served to make sure that you're working more efficiently and make sure you carefully caulk your Windows so that they are without little places that cold air can begin.Buy a programmable thermostat, so you can keep your home at a constant temperature, but try to keep 68 or below when you're home and 58, when you are sleeping or at work.
