Living in your kitchen-5 easy ways to Live healthy and Green Green

Green living.

Everyone has so much to make balancing work, cooking, shopping, errands, kids, fun and Yes sleep. The question is: how we can live green in our kitchens and have no extra time doing it? the following is a list of 5 easy and simple things that anyone can make in your kitchen for green living and healthy.

1. change your relationship with paper towels.

There are many brands of paper towels that offer an option to sheets of 1/2.A great idea! Buy recycled paper towels. There are many brands outside has this as an option. Do not use paper towels at all when you could use a cloth washable.

Paper towels are used for many things. However, most of use waste a lot of paper towels when there is no need for example, if you spill a little coffee on the kitchen floor, you must use a paper towel ever? you also need a whole sheet ever? There are times when a sheet of 1/2 could be ideal and save paper?Try using a cloth reusable whenever you can, versus a paper towel.

2. buy waterbottles ACO, Versus Plastic Bottled Water

There is much debate if drink drinking plastic bottles is even good for you, especially when they are hot.Not to mention, some bottled water is no different from tap water and is expensive! why spend good money on something that you could get for free and help the environment!

According to the New York State Department of environmental conservation, almost 2.5 billion bottles of water per year are sold in New York. If these bottles were placed side by side, they would reach the Moon!

Only 10% of water bottles are recycled! This means that 90% are thrown away and end up in our land fills. According to Food and Water Watch, 1.5 million tonnes of plastic bottles that are created, requires up to 47 million litres of oil per year to produce.

3. buy packaging for Food store in versus plastic containers

Take a look at their plastic containers that you store food in.They look beaten up?Are they discolored? How long do they last and are actually good for you? they are washable?Safe in the microwave? Maybe and maybe not.

The big scare surrounding plastic food is BPA, which means Bisphenol-a. Many plastic containers will announce now foods that they are BPA free. The only thing that worries me is chemical plastic changes when it gets hot. Some of these plastic containers are not suppose to go in the dishwasher or microwave, freezer. Some say that they fund part of the container is dishwasher safe, I washed in top shelf.I don't know about you, but I don't remember all the details for each item in my kitchen (top, bottom piece) and how it should be cleaned. Also my dishwasher specific gets hotter than most .... make warnings take this into account?

Glass containers have no concern about being bad for your health, they are much easier to use and can be used safely in the microwave, dishwasher or freezer.(Many brands out there)

For example, a glass storage container, you can take food from the freezer to thaw it and chicken heat it in the microwave in the same container; All this without concern of health concerns of having to take more dishes.

4. use reusable shopping bags

Most supermarkets sell recyclable bags. often for less than one dollar. I suggest that you buy 20 reusable bags and put some of these bags in their cars, have some at home and in your backpack. use them whenever you buy groceries, go to the destination or make purchases anywhere really. not only are you helping the environment, but it makes shopping a lot easier.

The benefit of reusable bags, from the point of view of time, you can fit groceries twice in each reusable bag; making fewer trips to your car to your kitchen. After you begin using reusable bags, you'll never want to go bag to the use of plastic bags.

5. use reusable lunch bags and reusable packaging versus plastic bags

When you take the working lunch, or you make a lunch for your children, why use a paper bag new everyday? why use a plastic bag for each new new. sandwich If each person only used one plastic bag per day, that would be around 307,000 000 bags only for carriage of sandwiches in the US alone ... not to mention, that most people use more than a bag of one day in your lunch.
