What is green living and why should you bother? Green life, sometimes called sustainable living, involves making choices and taking the kind of lifestyle that does as little impact on the planet as possible. Let's face it, the Earth is getting pretty crowded and what may have made sense to people a few hundred years ago no longer makes sense. We can easily use the features of the Earth and make a mess to the environment, as well as, if not careful.
Green life begins at home, then try making good choices at home. For example, we use natural cleaning products such as borax, vinegar and baking soda, as much as possible rather than chemical laden alternatives. We recycle religiously, which is actually very easy and convenient in most communities.Through recycling, I don't mean just things that normally can end up in the trash, but also clothing and toys that children outgrew and things that adults are no longer use. We donate all these appropriate places.
We also try to use as little fuel as possible. Turning off unnecessary lights is simple. So is a combination of several trips in the car.requires only a little planning and instead of lawn mowing with a cutter or using a snow blower in the winter, I use a handmower and a shovel. Hey, I need the exercise anyway and lets me skip a trip to the fitness centre.
Green living is not an option that you suddenly turn. You slowly can start changing your lifestyle and choices and can only find you enjoy many of the changes. For example, I wouldn't give the herb home and garden plant for anything!
